DIRECTOR of MARKETING
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop strategic marketing plan.
· Prepare and implement the budget for the department that is consistent with overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.
· Design, develop, and implement marketing programs for the credit union.
· Evaluate results and make revisions as appropriate.
· Analyze market trends and demographic data concerning members and potential members.
· Research and recommend product or service enhancements to provide quality member service.
· Plan and coordinate special activities of the credit union.
· Planning and ordering promotional materials and giveaways, while keeping expenses within budget.
· Write, revise or edit copy for the newsletters, service materials, forms and promotional letters.
· Write or assist in the writing of letters and press releases for the credit union.
· Recommend new services and changes in existing services to meet the financial needs of the membership. Plan, coordinate and arrange meetings for segments of the field of membership to explain/promote benefits of credit union membership. Plan, coordinate and conduct a marketing and training program to enhance the member acceptance of the credit union.
· Develop and maintain credit union public relations plan.
· Ensure regulatory compliance as it relates to development of products/services and delivery mechanisms.
· Maintain an awareness of all laws and regulations, plus developments and trends within the credit union industry that may affect marketing, advertising, and membership development.
· Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures for the department.
· Must be PC literate and exhibit proficiency in the required software to carry out the listed duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· 4-year degree in Business, Marketing or related field required or relevant work experience.
· Excellent written and verbal skills. Extremely detailed oriented.
· Direct Mail solicitation & Credit Union experience a plus.
· Budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning experience a must.
· Good working knowledge of In-Design, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photo Shop, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must.
