Member Service Representative-North Houston
A Large Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative to open new accounts and process loan applications.  Must be sales-oriented and possess great communication skills.  Rich incentives offered! Great base salary.  Excellent benefits!


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess member needs and recommend appropriate deposit, loan, non-deposit investment, insurance, electronic or other products and services of the Credit Union. Identify and successfully act on product or service sales opportunities consistent with established sales standards.

Investigate and verify financial status of members applying for loans; prepare documents and process applications within established guidelines.

Provide efficient and accurate information and service to members either in person, by phone ,fax, e-mail or by mail. Respond to and resolve member inquiries and concerns in a timely manner. 

Responsible for constantly developing greater knowledge in all areas of Credit Union operations, compliance, products and services consistent with established standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience:   12 or more months experience in a sales, customer service, and/or cash handling environment; preferably a financial institution.  12 or more months experience using a personal computer with Windows based applications.

Education:  A high school diploma or its equivalency.

Skills:                          

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to cross-sell services and products; thorough knowledge of all credit union products and services; ability to handle confidential information with discretion; must be able to demonstrate the ability to be an active communicator, both listening and speaking skills; must possess the attitude to accept "empowerment", work effectively, willing to accept new ideas and adapt to change; must be able to demonstrate   initiative in identifying problems/solutions and enhancing quality service; and must be able to maintain a positive attitude.
