Credit Union Employment Resources is
assisting a local credit union in the Mid-Cities area of the Dallas / Fort
Worth Metroplex in their search for a Mortgage Loan Officer.This is a sales position responsible for loan
production that satisfies the credit union member’s mortgage needs while also
meeting individual, department and organization goals.This position is a commission only position with a draw set-up for the
first 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities:
·Counseling members on credit union loan programs and pricing
thorough knowledge of key lending concepts such as debt/income ratios,
Loan-To-Value percentages, credit scoring, and other underwriting criteria.
·Working with members in person, by telephone, by mail and on the
web providing required information concerning Mortgage related products and
lending programs.
·Making sales calls and developing relationships within the
community to attract new mortgage applications, specifically with real estate
agents, Builders, and Title Companies.
·Taking loan applications and gathering all necessary documentation
in order to process Mortgage loans.
·Ensuring that the credit union delivers on commitments by keeping members
updated on all loans from application through settlement.
·Preparing pre-approvals and internet applications, Home Equity
loans, and Improved/Unimproved Real Estate loans for underwriting approval.
·Participating in educational opportunities, reading professional
publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional
organizations to regularly update job knowledge.
·Gathering applicable HMDA data on loan applications.
·Preparing weekly pipeline status reports for Manager and other
reports on an as-needed basis.
·Performing any other duties that may be required to meet the
business needs of the department and/or credit union.
Requirements:
·Minimum of 2 years qualifying experience as a Mortgage Loan
Officer with a working knowledge of FNMA/Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines.
·Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations, including
RESPA, TILA, ECOA and HMDA requirements, loan documents, appraisals, surveys,
title policies and homeowners insurance policies is required.
·Working knowledge in current Windows OS and MS Office software,
Word, Excel, Power Point, Loan Origination software, and automated underwriting
systems.
