Loan Manager - Fort Worth, TX


CUER is working with a credit union in their search for a Loan Manager.  This person will direct and coordinate all lending activities within the credit union, insuring compliance with credit union Lending policies; assist in development of lending policies; manage lending activity to meet credit union goals and objectives.

 

Duties

  • Directs and monitors lending operations for the entire credit union; to insure that the credit union meets established goals and objectives in lending.  Monitors product delivery and quality and takes action to resolve problems.

 

  • Develops, proposes and implements lending program policy and strategy; leads activity related to new product development with respect to lending programs.

 

  • Develops department financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating department requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; preparing budgets; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

 

  • Accomplishes department human resource strategies by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; Administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.

 

  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing regulations; recommending new procedures.

 

  • Provides information to the president by directing the collection, analysis, and summarization of data and trends; evaluating reports and recommendations.  Also submits loan applications to the credit committee and provides an overview and makes recommendations to the credit committee.

 

  • Accomplishes organization mission by assisting in the development of the overall credit union plans and procedures.

 

  • Preserves the credit union assets by controlling delinquent accounts; hires,  trains and monitors those responsible for handling the delinquent accounts; disposes of repossessed collateral.

Requirements

 
Experience / Education:

5-10 years of similar or related experience.  College Degree.
 

Skills/Knowledge:

Developing Budgets, Analyzing Information, Business Knowledge, Reporting Results, Leadership, Ability to interpret lending regulations, Extensive knowledge of consumer and real estate lending practices and procedures, Ability to work with spreadsheets and word processing software.
